S.L.E. Lupus Foundation’s Young Leaders Kick off Summer 2013 with a Night for the Fight:
Raise Thousands to Support Science and Service for NYC Lupus Community
The S.L.E. Lupus Foundation’s Young Leaders Committee brought together lupus advocates, friends, family members, and coworkers for the highly successful ninth annual “Night for the Fight.” With more than 250 guests, New York’s young professionals raised more this year than ever to help achieve the Foundation’s mission to support novel research and patient services, while bringing hope for a “Life without Lupus.”
The event featured a silent auction and luxury raffle with donated goods and services from more than 35 sponsors, music from DJ Sabri and interactive entertainment from Pod Pix.
President of the Young Leaders, Adrienne Lynch commented, “It is incredible to see so many young people come together for a great cause. ‘Night for the Fight’ provides a unique opportunity to both educate and entertain. We hope people leave this party with great memories and valuable lupus information so they can better understand how it might affect someone they know.”
Held at NYC trendy rooftop lounge Hudson Terrace, “Night for the Fight” was organized by 30 volunteers from The Young Leaders Committee, many of whom live with lupus.
The S.L.E. Lupus Foundation extends thanks to all volunteers, sponsors and guests who made the night possible.
