The West Coast division of the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation shares our dedication in raising funds for the Lupus Research Institute (LRI) to research new treatments and, ultimately, find a cure for lupus. Lupus LA also has the unique ability to harness the power of Hollywood to raise awareness of the disease across America.

Founded by one of the world's leading authorities on lupus, renowned physician/author, Daniel Wallace, MD, Lupus LA has been raising funds for the LRI for the past five years. The growing organization is now expanding to provide lupus patient and physician education programming, referrals to specialists and other support services.

Star-Studded Events

Each year Lupus LA holds several exciting fundraising events. The Orange Ball, held each spring, is Lupus LA's premier fundraising gala. The celebrity-hosted night features a cocktail hour, formal dinner, live entertainment, and glamorous attendees. More »

The annual autumn Hollywood Bag Ladies Lupus Luncheon offers a fashion show and a silent auction of new, gently used and vintage handbags donated by celebrities and top designers. The 2007 event raised $550,000 dollars for the Lupus Research Institute. More »
