2006 Night for the Fight
The Foundation's 2nd Annual Young Professionals Party was a huge success, with nearly 250 people attending the fabulous night out to raise lupus awareness and funds for research. Young professionals with lupus, friends, family members and supporters came together on Thursday, September 28th at Stereo, one of New York's hottest clubs, to lend their energy and encouragement to the fight against lupus, a disease which typically targets young women and men.
While an eclectic mix of retro, dance and alternative hits set the mood, party-goers danced, sipped on the signature Lichido cocktail and beer from Tappeto Volante and Magic Hat, made new connections, and participated in the luxury-item raffle, which raised thousands of dollars for the cause from more than 30 prizes like a 60GB video iPod, Olympus digital camera, ZipCar membership, and travel from Site59.com. Each guest left the event with a gift bag (valued at more than $50) containing Gerry Frank's Where to Find It, Buy It and Eat It in New York, Eugenie Olson's Love in the Time of Taffeta, Very Wendy greeting cards, magazines from Dennis Publishing, and items from Redken, Philosophy, Make Up For Ever, and more.
