First-ever Hispanic/Latino Patient Forum,
Plus March is National Kidney Month

Unlocking the Mystery of Lupus en Español
The first Hispanic/Latino patient education program on lupus ever held in New York City will take place on Saturday, March 18, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx. The free, half-day seminar titled, "Descubriendo el Misterio de Lupus"— "Unlocking the Mystery of Lupus"—will feature Spanish language presentations by a physician on lupus symptoms and treatments, and by legal and support services experts on living and working with lupus. Camp Sunshine, on scenic Lake Sebago in Maine, is a camp for families with children living with serious illness. It provides these children the opportunity to play just like other kids. Each summer, the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation makes it possible for children with lupus from the New York area and their families to experience Camp Sunshine for one week at no charge to them.
