3rd Annual New York Bag Ladies Luncheon and Silent Auction at 583 Park Avenue on April 14th...

Raised nearly $200,000 for lupus research and support services across the boroughs!

They also honored NBC’s Dr. Nancy Snyderman, who remarked that “this [cause] means the world to me,” and handbag and shoe designer Mary Norton, creator of the “MooRoo” evening bag line and “Frosting by Mary” for the Home Shopping Network. “Diagnosing lupus is like hunting a panther in the dark,” she said.

The silent auction also launched designer, vintage, and celebrity handbags out onto the avenues and in to the homes of stylish New Yorkers. Bags were donated by the likes of Chanel, Prada, Burberry, and Valentino, as well as by such well-known figures and celebrities as Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg (golf bag), BeyoncéHeidi KlumLiza MinnelliCourtney CoxKatie Couric, andGossip Girl’s Blake Lively.
